Overview
Today Chipkin launched docs.chipkin.com, a new public documentation portal focused on technical support content, protocol integration guidance, and reusable reference material.
The goal is simple: make it easier for customers, integrators, and support engineers to find accurate answers without digging through scattered support notes or legacy product pages.
What The Portal Includes
At launch, the site is organized into three main content paths:
- Articles for procedures, troubleshooting, commissioning guidance, and support workflows
- Knowledge Base pages for protocol terms, product concepts, and technical definitions
- News for rollout updates and future public-facing announcements
The content is centered on the kinds of integration problems Chipkin customers hit most often, including BACnet discovery, Modbus addressing, EtherNet/IP configuration, QuickServer support tasks, and related gateway workflows.
Search-First Navigation
The new portal uses a unified search experience so users can find information by:
- product name
- protocol name
- task
- symptom
- tag or category filters
This makes it easier to move between a broad concept page and a step-by-step article without learning different navigation models for each section.
Why This Matters
A technical docs site should do more than store pages. It should shorten time to diagnosis, reduce repeated support effort, and give customers a stable place to find reference material they can reuse during commissioning and troubleshooting.
That is the purpose of docs.chipkin.com.
What Comes Next
The initial rollout establishes the platform, search model, and taxonomy. From here, Chipkin will continue expanding:
- task-oriented support articles
- protocol references
- product-specific operational guidance
- news and documentation rollout updates
Find The Right Content
If you are using the portal for the first time:
- Start at Search if you know the symptom, product, or protocol.
- Use Articles for step-by-step help.
- Use Knowledge Base for definitions, terminology, and technical background.
- Use News for updates on the portal itself.
