Step-by-step instructions for uploading a .CSV configuration file to a QuickServer gateway via the web interface.

Categories:

Overview

The configuration file (.csv) contains the communication parameters, protocol settings, and point mappings for your QuickServer gateway. Chipkin support generates this file based on your site requirements and delivers it for upload.

Prerequisites

  • Computer on the same network as the gateway
  • The .csv configuration file from Chipkin support
  • Default gateway IP: 192.168.2.101 (check the device label if this was changed)

Step 1: Log In to the Web Interface

  1. Open a web browser and go to http://192.168.2.101 (or the gateway’s current IP).
  2. Log in with the default credentials:
    • Username: admin (lowercase, no quotes)
    • Password: printed on the label on the back of the gateway

Step 2: Upload the Configuration File

Navigate to: Setup → File Transfer

  1. Click Choose File and select your .csv configuration file.
  2. Click Submit to upload.

Wait for the upload to complete. The page will confirm when it is done.

Step 3: Restart the Gateway

After uploading the configuration file, restart the gateway to apply the new settings. Allow 5–10 seconds for the system to reload.
